I had a similar problem with Gusty. I uninstalled Wine but the wine
items did not disappear from the applications menu. So I went into the
main menu editor and deleted the menus. When I reinstalled wine the
launchers did not reappear. I had to delete items from the .config and
.local/share dire

Make menu item
I just started using Ubuntu as a Desktop instead of server (even just
today). So coming from using Windows and OS X for so long, I find this a
big deal also. A resize control that is part of theme and displayed in
the bottom corner would make thing much easier. I've tried all other
included themes
To further ad, I noticed apps like Gedit have a resize handle and it's
much easier than with programs like Firefox and Terminal. I'm not sure
if there are guidelines or anything that can be recommended to all
developers.

Use Alt+Middle Clic to resize from anywhere in the window. In Unix,
windows manager does not draw inside the window, only outside (border,
title, etc.). So only window with status bar have the resize handle at
bottom.

Initially it prompted me that my server was not valid, but did not crash.
I did that a few times.
Then I added my cert auth to the list of trusted cert auths, and have

Thanks Mirco, but please don't break long window titles on multiple
lines, this will not solve the problem. Instead don't use window title
at all, or at least define a gconf key to disable those new tooltips.

Ubuntu 7-10 - AMD64
during the transfer of large file to a nfs share, nautilus crashes and
loses the files.
The nfs server is a debian etch server with the following export:
/media/data*.(rw,sync,no_wdelay,no_subtree_check)
the mount is
ds:/media/data on /med
