You errors messages are XSu related, you should try the same thing with gksu,
not XSu.
As explained, think to open xsession-errors BEFORE reproducing the bug and

I finally found out what's the problem: I reverted the changes to gnome-
settings-daemon/gnome-settings-multimedia-keys.c (see below) and it

OK, I was wrong. It did not fix the first login for me, just the second
and following one. On the first login after boot, entering in gnome is
slow as a crawl (20+ seconds). Sorry for the confusion. I will try to

1. Specific Steps: (1) I open the gnome-about-me application. (2) I fill
in the better majority of the fields (excluding: Contacts -> Instant
Messaging -> Jabber, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, Groupwise (I filled in AIM)). (3)
I click the "Close" button. (4) I close
