Why that? A video that can be watched in totem without problems, is not shown
when totem-mozilla tries to open it. So, totem-mozilla should either not care
about .ogg files at all and hand those links to firefox (which will
automatically suggest to play the file in totem and everything is fine)

It's a PNG image, incorrectly named. When renamed to "tux", and then
back to "tux.jpg" again, eog will open it without complaining. I'll

I use the Brightness Applet to set the brightness to a specific value
(let's just say 75%). I later use [Fn + Down Arrow] to lower the
brightness to be below
I have found the same problem.
If I enable compiz, the notes dissappear left-clicking in the desktop but if I
disable compiz again, the bad behaviour returns. Cannot have correct perfomance
if compiz is disabled (this is different from what was told above).

Just updated ubuntu (5 dec 2007) and got libcairo2 1.4.10-1ubuntu4.1
However above document

There is probably good rationale in not setting the volume to the
maximum by default, and the volume control icon is pretty discoverable,
so users can set the volume higher themselves if they need to.
