I just got back from my desk and saw a little yellow notification saying
"Please call Tom on urgently!" where xxx was
a phone number. I hadn't even noticed the "Leave a message" feature in the

Evolution 2.12 had no problem with having 2 sections in the
/apps/evolution/calendar/sources key (see below), while version 2.10.1
does not like that. As soon as I copied to the latter section and deleted the first

I suppose you already thought about that but why not try the desktop
translation before the gettext one and strip all desktop translations
from ubuntu packages (not a short-term solution of course).

As i said, since apturl works with links in Firefox 2 for Gutsy, i think

I can crash evolution when modifying the recurrence of an appointment.
Actually this happens not on all appointments. I have three recurrent
appointments, 2 can be modified, 1 cannot.

i get the problem again -
it is a bug, because when i am asked for the password first, i ticked:
automatically open this keyring whenever i login,
nevertheless i am asked for the password (to open a wap connection)
and i am asked twice.
i have a completely updated gutsy installation.

better. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not
show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor

The problem is how this function is called. The GtkTextView is
instanciated temporarely and is destroyed after the construction of the
GtkSpell object, which triggers a destruction of the relevant parts
needed by set_language. I personally would consider the call method
wrong, but well.
A solution
So an immediate fix would be to move the gtk.TextView() into a temporary
variable instead. With that it works even with the version of python-
gtkspell currently in the archives.

gtkspell is buggy in terms that no way of gathering the information "is
a spell checker available for this language" is exposed, gnome-python-
extras is buggy because it does not increase the refcounter of the
textview and gramps was buggy because it tried to acquire the
information in a bogus way.
