I'm having this problem too. It occurred in feisty and is still present
on a clean and updated install of gutsy tribe 5. It seems to only apply
to videos using the H.264 codec, and I've seen the green area artefacts
in both mp4 and mkv files that used this codec. The same videos display

That was my problem too, prefered application for terminal was set to 'Custom',
blank in command line and '-x' in options.
Setting preferred terminal to gnome-terminal fixes the problem.
However I have no idea how this setting was set to this erroneous value.
I also think nautilus
Yes, I tested it with gutsy and it is even more bad. The sound recorder
shows an error and closes. Error is something related to 'multimedia
settings' not being proper. And I don't know what I am supposed to do
about it. I tried changing many things in Preferences->Sound and also in
volume control
and the valgrind trace.

i cannot reproduce this bug, the caldav server works fine here, i configure the
calendar the same way.
i'm using plain password though, maybe evolution has problems authenticate
against other mechs in the calendar component.

Evolution Version is "2.11.92" (gutsy gibbon), but I also had the same
