of yesterday, 27 August, so the gnome-session version is
2.19.90-0ubuntu2. I was about to shut down my PC, but before I did so I
opened "System -> Preferences -> Sessio
Confirmed on feisty with file-roller 2.18.1-0ubuntu1.
According to an strace, file-roller opens the files
/usr/share/mime/{globs,magic,aliases,subclasses,mime.cache}, so
presumably it checks the mime type, but still refuses to open the 'mis-
named' archive, even though file(1) recognizes it as "gz
I don't think this really counts as a bug as no where does it explicitly
state that pressing enter without selecting a smart bookmark will search
google automatically, its just a neat conveniance feature. also having
google as a smart bookmark allows you to put a dedicated google search

I can confirm the bug too. I don't know why Totem seems to work fine for
Sebastian, but I've never seen Totem change the track name when a stream is
playing. It picks up the name of the currently playing track when starting, and
sticks with it throughout, even after it's finished playing. Other
Open "gconf-editor" and find the key I mentioned above. I set it to
"autovideosink" (one of the possible video sinks available) and
afterwards gstreamer-properties opens up again and you can choose a
different sink. Hope this helps!

No, nautilus doesn't run fsck on the disk. Could you try gnomevfs-ls on
the disk, is it as slow as nautilus? Do you have files which are
thumbnailed on the disk? Does it happen with a blank one?

hi,
i can't create a empty file on the desktop with, rightclick, creat document,
emptiy file. This doesn't work on the desktop and in any folder. If i go in
nautilus to File ,create new file, empty file, this works. Only the rightclick
doesn't work. Som
