Sure, but I just noticed that whatever change to the IPOD I do with
Rhythmbox, the files get writen or erased but the Ipod does not play
them. GTKPOD, on the other hand, works. But I prefer the rhythmbox

This happens out of the box when you install Ubuntu 7.10 in low
configuration PC's. Due to the default depth is set to 24; Changing the
default depth to 16 in xorg.conf fixes the problem.

This doesn't occur in Gutsy. The reason I downloaded Gutsy in the first
place was that I was under the impression that it had been solved in the
newer gnome-power-manager package in Gutsy's repositories (there's a comment
in this bug or a duplicate to that effect).
