after hitting ctrl-alt-backspace wait for it to restart and hit
ctrl-alt-backspace
again
the work round has changed slightly after running
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
switch to another console kill (-9) gdm as stop will probably

Using totem-xine you can play if you specify the absolute path to the
iso as so:
totem dvd:/absolute/path/to/dvd.iso
This might work with totem as well but I do not have one handy to try
with.

Open Office applications (write, draw...) don't start in Gutsy and Ooo
uses nearly 95% of CPU like it was locked on some endless loop.
Installing openoffice.org-gtk corrects the problem.

The GNOME-VFS URI is placed into any regular HTML Input box, but nothing
happens if you drag to a file input box. The cursor indicates that it's
