I tried a full reinstall, same result.
USB devices are detected for a local (non-ldap user) though, so it is

I have the same problem a Jad. I get broken dependencies error. I ran
sudo apt-get install -f and it totally killed my installation. I had to
reinstall Ubuntu completely, and on reinstalling

Everything worked for me in Dapper, but now in Edgy I get this error
when a DVD movie is inserted:

Banshee is using taglib-sharp to read the tags and may be that is why it can
read the incorrectly encoded metadata. Apparently this is a known issue with
gst0.10

Modifying a created archive in another session will cause it to not respond
to steps in history (i think) and when I tried to put it away, it closed. I

When I click on the clock with right mouse button to set the time or the date,
a window comes up and say 'You are not allowed to access the system
configuration'. Same thing happens if I try to manually run the command
'time-admin'.
