Do you mean into backports?
If so, this is not the solution, we are leaving all Intrepid users with the
buggy version. I would prefer an update to the main repos.

I don't think that this update has reached Intrepid repos.
I still have a previous release:
$ apt-cache policy brasero
brasero:

Hi, I've found a test case that makes brasero hang in a repetable way.
It is enough to perform the following steps:
1) open brasero
2) click on audio CD
3) go to a place where you have some mp3 files
4) select the first
5) holding shift, select the last
