that's a known issue and duplicate, it's basically because gnome-shell uses gsettings but compiz still uses gconf in precise so that's what the control center writes, that's going to be fixed this cycle ** Project changed: gnome-control-center => gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) ** No longer affects
