Thanks for the bug report. We've never seen any of these behaviors at
Yorba (where Shotwell is developed), so I strongly suspect these are
releated to XFCE/Xubuntu. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to
debug XFCE-specific problems, so you may want to ask the XFCE or Xubuntu
developers for
I'm using XFCE/Xubuntu by the way, not compiz/Unity.

Adjust window shoots off the screen when adjustments are made

I should add that after I make an adjustment and the adjustment is
applied to the photo, the screen becomes more transparent as if
unfocused. If I move the mouse at this point, the dialog window shoots
off to the lower-right. If I click the window to focus, it remains
stationary.
