Martin, is this reproducible? We didn't hear about other people having
this problem, or can reproduce it ourselves. If you get it again, could
you please find out the PID and do
sudo strace -fvvs1024 -o /tmp/trace
for some five seconds, then ^C, and attach /tmp/trace here?

I am not seeing this on either of my computers, but I probably have
difference services configured. assigning to the desktop team in case
they want to take a look.
