here just in case you want to have a quick test without compiling it by
yourself.

The attachment "91_fix_overflow_in_abs_to_percentage.patch" of this bug
report has been identified as being a patch. The ubuntu-reviewers team
has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review the patch.
In the event that this is in fact not a patch you can resolve this
situation by re
quilt series file along with the patch above, putting in debian/patches
folder as well.

This patch fixed the two overflow happened in calculating brightness
during StepDown and StepUp.
Tested on my MacBookAir 4,1 already.
Please review and merge it to debian/patches folder.
