duplicate of bug 879632, so it is being marked as such. Please look at
The deal seems to be if the file-browser plugin is enabled then quick open will
fail.
Whether they should both be able to work at the same time is unknown to me

I also just tested it in Ubuntu 12.04 (all updates installed) and it
crashes with the same error text there.
