I also thought that this bug affects me but now I have realised that
archive mount does work in Ubuntu 11.10 for me; there just isn't much
visible feedback.
When I right-click on an .iso file in Nautilus (Ubuntu 11.10), there is
no visibly obvious feedback but now scroll down the Places sidepanel
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

This came from someone complaining that brasero created .iso's, when extracted
with file-roller were still adding ;1 to filename
So I simply took a file I had on the desktop and created a small iso with
