Thanks for the advice. I ran 'unity --reset' and was able to install keyboard
shortcuts without any problem.

Colin, we'd like to fix this bug but the problem is that Keyboard
Shortcuts works for us and you haven't given a series of steps where you
can show how it doesn't work. Here's a couple suggestions:
1. Try from an Oneiric live CD.
2. Or run unity --reset . This will reset all of your Compiz & Uni

Yes I did click on the right column.
There is a similar problem, which may be another manifestation of the same bug.
As an alternative to setting the keyboard shortcuts from System
Settings->Shortcut, I installed CompizConfig SettingsManager, ticked on
'Commands' installed a command on

your bug or even to reproduce it. Have you tried rebooting. Which
keyboard shortcut in particular doesn't work?
