what is wrong?
current implementation of gnome-terminal? in this case open a bug upstream in
bugzilla and ask gnome devs to fix it (if they agree with you).
speaking about css theming is not possible to fix width, only padding and style
but not width.

It is wrong because it is not easy to see ad the first view the two tabs
open, they are too long and so they are dispersive for the view.

At the moment the css style for gnome-terminal is just a quick draft..
it can/will be improved to make it more clear but i doubt it is possible to
change width without touching gnome-terminal code.
anyway, alecutu , if you have any good mockup, propose it ;)

Actually, on second thought, I don't believe this is a bug. There's
nothing wrong with tabs in a terminal taking up all available space. In
fact, it makes it easier to select the desired tab.
