What I'm saying is that we don't work on those non official packages,
they can ship broken patches and we would not know about then. We are
not the right people to contact to get a bug fixed neither since we
don't work on the mentionned package. You can still post your backtrace,
that problem might

I am just about to install the debug symbol for this package of Gaim
beta 6, as this is not an official package, are you saying that the
symbol package is also not official, and we do not need to post bug in
this particular release, until an official one is out?

Yes, I'm using Edgy, but I have added debuntu repository in order to use
the latest gaim: deb http://repository.debuntu.org/ edgy multiverse

I can confirm this crash at boot time only, on Ubuntu Edgy.

I confirm it too, when my Feisty Fawn upgrades it to beta 6 there are a
lot of randomly crashes
