Yes, I'm well aware of this and Ctrl+k should be kept as the default
shortcut.
However, imo, pressing the del key is more intuitive and both shortcuts
could be handled (since del does not seem assigned to any shortcut).
Plus, del shortcut to kill a process is used in windows' task manager so

There are already shortcuts corresponding approximately to what you'd
press in 'top'. Ctrl+K is kill.
