Thanks for the information (yes, liboppler was a typo). So the
"permission denied" problem seems indeed occur because of apparmor. You
could try to temporarily disable the apparmor profile as described here:

Printing to a file seems to work OK. I'm not at my printer right now so
I can't tell about printing to a printer. I'll test that next week.
I attached the apt-cache policy output. You probably meant
"libpoppler*".
I have created my filesystem in the standard xubuntu (10.10) installation.

When you say the problem "occurs only with print preview" -- do you mean that
you can print and print to file without problem? Just to make sure that there
is not problem with the poppler version: Could you run
apt-cache policy liboppler*
in a terminal and attach the output here?

I still have the problem but now it occurs only with print preview. I'm
also unable to print the document in the print preview window. I
sometimes get a total mess when previewing the document and sometimes
only a few formulas are erroneous. I have attached two screenshots about
the bug.

If yes, as you are seeing that you experience the problem also with
"print to file", could you print the document linked in your report to a
