Xubuntu doesn't use Nautilus, which suggests the issue is lower down
(perhaps kernel related?) Can you mount the disk manually? If so, does
"ls" list the contents of the volume?

I use Xubuntu 8.04 64-bit and I have a number of UDF-formatted DVD+RW disks
that I can`t read or write to in Xubuntu. Since version 6.10.
They are just laying around, waiting for someone to fix this UDF behavior.

Marking unconfirmed and low importance, that looks like a corner case.
Would be nice if somebody having a such CD and getting the problem could
forward upstream if they have no bug about it already

The UDF CD were made with Roxio on Windows by somebody else.
I guess the packages udftools provides what is needed to make CDs with
UDF FS.

The CD apparently is an ISO/UDF disk.
The ISO structures contain Windows driver.
This bug is rather a feature.
However the default should be to try to mount UDF, then ISO. Currently it is
the opposite.
