jimav - your issue is not a bug, but rather a broken configuration. By
default, ghelp URI's are opened in Yelp, which would work fine. If it's
attempting to open it in Firefox then you (or something) has changed the
handler for ghelp URI's on your profile. Firefox isn't designed to
handle ghelp URI

I attempted to recreate this bug with a up to date system and was unable
too. It did take a while to load though.
Please run:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
And tell us if the issue is still happening.

It's broken in karmic (9.10). Using gnome-power-manager package version
2.28.1-0ubuntu1.3,
clicking "Help" in Power Management Preferences ('On AC Power' tab) causes
firefox to display
The requested URI "ghelp:gnome-power-manager?preferences" is
invalid
(not sure if this is a gnome-power
