I could not figure out how to change the status to completed/closed so i

not supporting LVM partitions. I could close the bug for you but wanted

There are two possibilities :
- You can simply change the status for this bug and mark it completed
- Ask someone to move it as a Wish for gparted
As I said, Ubuntu can be installed on a LVM without any problem but with the
"alternate" cdrom instead of the "desktop" cdrom.

support for Logical Volume Manager(LVM).
A seperate toolset is probably required to detect and work with LVM

As far as I know gparted doesn't (for the moment) support LVM, the only way to
install Ubuntu with a LVM support is to use the alternate CD.
And once installed I don't know any graphical tools to play with the LVM.
