This is still not working properly with the latest updates on 11.04
(which has solved a lot of other empathy bugs).
PS
Would be really nice if this gets fixed as this is currently the only issue I
have left with empathy since I started using it in 10.10.

This, according to upstream, still could either me a haze issue or an
empathy issue. Marked both as such and brought in the upstream bug
report. Thanks for your report and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I use Russian version of interface. Правка(Edit) - Личная информация(Own
Information?) - select ICQ UIN and try to change Псевдоним(Nick name?).
After this I close window and see that Псевдоним(Nick name?) don't
change.
