This is still a problem in natty - I just installed Xubuntu 11.04 in a
virtual machine, and starting quadrapassel from the menu does nothing,
just as Hans Joachim says above.
Running it in a terminal gives the same output as he reports too.

Thanks for reporting this. I have the same issue when attempting to run
Quadrapassel version 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1 on Maverick.
When I try to run it from the terminal it prints the following error message:
