Hmm, connection achieved, with same config values. Writing this off as
network error on Googles side or an update to Empathy.

I've confirmed that it's not a setting on Google's side as I can connect
to it perfectly with Pidgin. I can import that account from Pidgin to
Empathy and I get the same error. "No reason specified".

This is not a standard Google Talk account and so is not a duplicate
bug. Google talk service works fine for my standard gmail accounts, but
this is Google Talk for my domain http://www.google.com/apps/.
I have talk.google.com as the server as it's what I used in my config on
Lucid.
