I have the same problem - but not always. In other Forums this Bug
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=587075) has been reported.
The problems are dashes and äöü in subject line. Not sure though if
that's your problem.

Same here (also Maverick). Only difference : I can mail myself perfectly
but other people (most of them) on same domain fail. Mailing other
domains is no problem.
$ evolution --debug does not show any usefull information.
