Based on Bugzilla it appears the patch has been committed to CVS. I've
attached a version that's rediffed against 2.16.1 instead of HEAD. I've
patched my Epiphany installation, and it's working well. It'd be nice
to see this put into Ubuntu until 2.1

Thanks for your bug. "chpe" who opened the bugzilla bug is upstream for
epiphany and he would have not opened a GNOME bug is that was Ubuntu
specific. As pointed by the upstream bug that's a firefox issue, and
it's already known, marking as duplicate
