Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in:

I would say that this is the same bug as 371195. I can confirm that the back-light on my laptop never goes out. Though the screen saver (whatever I choose) engages when it's supposed to, the back-light never turns off, even after 40 minutes. On Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 5:06 AM, kurt belgrave wrote

Can you say if it ever turns off because the default setting is to leave it on for 40mins, Then it kills power to monitor. You can look at bug 371195 which i believe this is similar too and i would like to mark it as a duplicate off. Thank you for taking the time to make Ubuntu better. ** Package
