Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
After typing username & passwort and clicking "login", GDM disables the input fields, hides the mouse pointer and is irresponsive from then on. (expected behaviour: start loading GNOME) See attached /var/log/gdm/:0-slave.log for stacktraces. Obviously it's a problem in libtalloc or PAM (I can't log in using KDM or XDM either, the former being KDE doesn't report any errors, the latter has a segfault in libtalloc), but GDM should not freeze up. Instead it should crash completely or display some message. Also there is a critical failed assertion. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- irresponsive after finishing login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600870 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
