Thanks for the bug report please install the latest version of farsight2
from telepathy ppa and the problem will be solved (worked for me and
others too) https://launchpad.net/~telepathy/+archive/ppa if that does
not solve the problem please let us know.

One other little bit of information: the above described "black video"
from echo bot happens only in Empathy. In Pidgin my image *is* echoed
back to me even when receiving an incoming call from the echo bot.

Might just be limited to windows incoming. When I use the test bot
e...@test.collabora.uk and I issue the !videome command, empathy doesn't
crash. On the other hand, all I see for video on the other side, is
black. Whereas when I initiate a video call to the bot, I see my own
image echoed back t
