Hey Guys, compiz was not installed by default when I upgraded to 10.04
beta. The dependencies were, just not compiz. So, after installing
compiz, all problems were solved. Restarted and window manager was
working!

Could you please check bug #559111 and see if the problem goes away when you:
* install compiz package, or
* remove ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/session/required_components
