The issue was reported upstream already:
http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339710 - if you could install
libc6-dbg, libgtk2.0-0-dbg, libglib2.0-0-dbg and try again, that'd
probably help - which architecture are you on - with that information I
could build a debug package of gnome-utils for you.
Ok, I figured out how to reproduce it. Open up the log, and go to acpid.
Now, lock the screen or something to force the file to update while it
is open. Now try selecting several lines of the new input, then go edit
-> copy.
