Another funny thing. Maximized windows always leave approximately 1px space on tom, so I can peek at the shown gnome-panel, and even click on it, although it's hard to tell sometimes what I'm clicking. All hints from applets and launchers, and what's most important, all dropdown menus, shows on

Well... if it's reproducible... don't know, it just happens from time to time. Last few time happened after watching videos in Totem in full screen. Old AWN showed in full screen, and disappeared after moving mouse cursor over and out. After that the problem occurred. For some time I was thinkin
