Pedro, I made a test with Jaunty but the issue is the same also in that
distro. In fact my camera was recognised as c-2040z.

Pedro, I haven't yet tested this issue on Jaunty but, on Hardy, if I do
an lshal I can see:

Thansk for the report Marco, could you try the same on Jaunty? does
lshal shows you the same? it could be hal issue rather than a f-spot
one.
