Thanks Pedro, I tried a new user and no sound in Klondike or freecell.
Sound Preferences : VIA8237 ALSA MIXER, Ubuntu Sound Theme and I have selected
PCM for Volume control.
Master is at Max but PCM makes volume go up and down on this pc. All system
sounds work.
I also have Hardy and Ultimate Edi

same with a new user created on your system? What are you using alsa,
pulseaudio? thanks.
