That's fixed in Lucid. Since 2.29.92 we automatically add the user to
the group named after its login if it already exists. That's not really
optimal since it may not be what you want, though - that will be
improved in the next cycle.

Yes, that looks like that, Milan.
If one creates a user, deletes it, and tries to create it again in the same
"session"
there is a problem. Deleting the group of that user allows the creation of the
user
again. Probably the configuration files are only being updated on closing the
gui assista
The error message is a little more explicit now.
Seems to me that the real bug is that the user group is actually
removed, but the configuration is not updated accordingly. Need to
investigate this a little more.
