I have the same problem that the guy (or girl) who posted the bug. When I try
to run totem from shell this is what I get:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ totem
The program 'totem' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.

The ressource issue is rather a message about a sink rather than about the DVD.
Dapper uses gstreamer0.10 so the gstreamer0.8-dvd package will be of no use.
totem-gstreamer with gstreamer0.10 doesn't do DVD playing for now (it plays the
movie but doesn't have menus nor subtitles features by exam

Thanks for your bug. Do you use totem-gstreamer of totem-xine? Does changing
the videosink from gstreamer-properties fixes the issue? What videocard do you
have and what videodriver for xorg do you use?
