The importance change is not because the bug is present for some time, it's because the feature didn't work before so that's not a regression. I've updated the hibernation patch, could anybody having the issue give it a try? The updated patch can be downloaded from http://people.ubuntu.com/~seb128

Andrew, I think the policy is to use "high" only for regressions or major break of functionality. And nobody is saying it's not going to be fixed. But I generally agree with you, it should at least be "normal" and targeted for 6.10 IMO. I guess the developers are reluctant to remove the menu entry
