Seems like the "disable touchpad" checkbox was removed in Ubuntu 10.10.
Should I file a new bug under "Can not disable touchpad in Ubuntu
10.10"?

I saw this on an X300 too, but I can't reproduce it with Karmic on an
X301. I'm not sure if the hardware is the same though. With the X300 I
think it's because the touchpad and trackpoint appear as a single XInput
device where on the 301 they appear as two devices.
