I't actually very cool because if you know where things are then it will
search while you are typing the path like ~/Document or just Documents.
There is also Files and Folder search but that does just search with the
gnom

I may have been mistaken about the default install, although I never
explicitly installed it so I am not sure what package installed it.

I cant find where it does say index in Preferences->
Loaded Extensions. It does search withought beagle through gnome-search-tool
but it doesn't index. Are you using deskbar on breezy?

deskbar isn't included with any ubuntu* meta file.
Deskbar can search and index with beagle and it's in recomended. It can open
files if you state something like /home/user/file that is File and Folders.

This does not belong under wishlist. The issue is it states it does
index my harddrive with supplied plugin, and doesn't do it. Try reading
the bug report before moving it and atleast attempt to make an
intelligent decis

You can install beagle an beagle-python then add beagled to you session then Go
to preferences in deskbar-applet and choose beagle live search. Beagle takes a
little time to search you hardrive you can control what beagl

Well actually I did install a few things like build-essential, tomboy,
and inkscape, but I cant see how those packages would make deskbar
install (probably wrong on that one).
