no i dont have any mono plugin for gaim installed...i believe this
problem occurs in gaim1.5 as well, i'll try to produce a trace for it,
sorry about the gaim2 report.

Do you have the mono plugin installed? Could you try removing it? If
it appears in the plugins dialog you could try unloading it, but I don't
think it shows up in the plugins dialog.
