My screen is being detected properly at 135 dpi. My gnome capplet
correctly shows 135 dpi.
The problem is the combination of high dpi and low resolution screen
(1024x600) that is common on netbooks.
The result is most gnome dialog boxes don't fit the screen anymore with
a default font setting of
the bug is confusing, what value did you have selected in the capplet?
it should be using the xorg detected value in jaunty. is that a new
installation or an upgrade?
