I have something similar to your problem in Intrepid, Miloš. Totem seeks
forward on VOB files even when I press the left arrow, and clicking the
seek bar with middle button is imprecise.
No idea if it's the same bug as this though, but please let me know if
you open a separate bug?

I think I have similar problem. Seek works awfully bad . Video is .vob file
(MPEG-2,audio codec is AC-3). First time when i press right arrow it goes
forward 2min. Next time 3, and third time 7min's. At about 12min of video it
hangs. Same thing happens if I press left arrow, it goes forward. Al

I can confirm this issue on Ubuntu 8.04 running on:
CPU: AMD 64X2
GFX: ATI X1950 (fglrx 8.4)

The funny thing is I thought this issue was solved in 7.10 as I cant
remember experiencing the issue there but I might just have missed it.

Yeah, and I'm about to take time out of my schedule to fix the damned

GNOME (proper) and no fix for this. I do believe, however, that it's an

I have a similar problem with seeking and MPEG-1 videos. Seeking either

it has nothing to do with that bug, but maybe it is in gstreamer as
maybe totem passes the slider position to gstreamer and then it

proportional to the size of the movie, so maybe it is not always 20secs,
but it is always wrong and before where you put the slider.
