Ah, right, I remember that breezy's hal did not automatically mount
drives with an invalid label (this has been fixed in Dapper). However,
the device should at least be present in hal. So I'm a bit puzzled

Hi,
i did it with my Ubuntu 5.10, the drive was plugged in and i checked that it
was available in System -> Administration -> Disks.
But i didn't mount it manually, so it wasn't mounted.
Do you want me to do it again?

Thanks. However, your lshal output does not contain sda1; are you sure
that you did that after plugging in the drive, but before
unmounting/ejecting it?
