You don't need to run yelp with any additional arguments. You just need to run: G_SLICE=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly valgrind -v --tool=memcheck --leak-check=full --num-callers=40 --log-file=valgrind.log yelp Before you do this though, you will probably need to install some debugging symbol
