I have the same problem with 32bit firefox in amd64 installation.
No printers are displayed, just like in the initial screenshot. If I save the
file, close evince, start it again from cmdline and load the PDF, then I can
print.

Also, I cannot print a non-firefox pdf if I have a firefox pdf open.
Steps to reproduce:
Click any firefox pdf link
Document will open in evince
Find a pdf in filesystem
Open local pdf. Try to print it. It will fail.
Close Evince.
Reopen local pdf and succeed in printing it.
