This is no longer an issue for me, using jaunty with today's updates

I installed Robert's patched libsmbclient included in bug #282298 and I
can now see all my files and folders on my buffalo linkstation (250 MB)
using nautilus. I had the same issue as euda in that I could no longer
see files and directories on my linkstation.
