no problem, gstreamer0.10 replaced gstreamer0.8 for most of applications
now, that bug can be considered mainly fixed then

I had the same issue. It was affecting Ekiga and gnome-sound-recorder.
Removing gstreamer0.8 and installing gstreamer0.10 solved the problem.
My machine is an Asus A7V8-X with an Athlon 2400 and the original onboard "VIA
Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller".
